Any tips to get the case activated powder drop to maximize repeatability?

Trying to use it load 38 Specials with 3.5 Grains of Titegroup. Having a hard time trying to get +-.2 grains. Suggestions?

Is it fully stroking? Are you using the pistol cylinder?

I rarely get deviation over .1gr. It's astonishing actually how good it can be. That's with backing up the measuring with the chargemaster scale.

Confirm also that you are getting ALL the powder out. Titegroup sometime sticks in the flash hole.

A few suggestions that may help:

- Make sure you are using the baffle in your hopper
- Fill the hopper with enough powder so that it is fills past the baffle and avoid letting it drop below the the midpoint of the baffle or your powder weight will start drifting and you'll find yourself tweaking the meter every so often.
- Make sure all the parts are degreased and static free

When you empty the measure do you find that there's a bit of powder that sticks to the bottom metal funnel area? The paint on mine started feeling sticky and no matter what I did to degrease it, powder will always stick to the sides. I ended up putting a Dremel with an abrasive buff bit to it and removed the paint and polished that sucker to almost a mirror finish. Then I treated it with paste wax and she's slick as ever. I'm getting +/- 0.1gn for the most part with the odd +/- 0.2gn.

Haven't had any accuracy issues with mine, pretty much always within a tenth of a grain. Is the powder sticking anywhere, if so coat everything with graphite powder, stuff works wonders.

Turns out I had two problems.

1) Some powder was sticking and then dropping after it built up sufficiently. Solved by cleaning all residual oil with alcohol. No more sticking.
2) My scale was drifting. Now resetting tare before each trial load.

Now getting +-0.1 grains.

this. Some powders take time to settle in the cylinder.

I usually turn on my digital scale 30mins before I start loading. Gives it time to warm up and stop drifting.
