So first off I have an opportunity to get a Hornady Lock N Load auto powder dispenser at a reduced rate, not RCBS etc, just Hornady.

My question/concerns is that my most used powder at the moment is IMR 3031 and I'm worried about how it will meter through the Hornady.

Does anyone have experience with this measure and powder combination?

Thanks

Yep, loaded some 45-70 up last night, 36grs. of 3031 under a 480gr. bullet..
I set the trickle speed to start .06 grains sooner**, probably should have use .04 instead as sometimes it took awhile to come up the the target weight..
But I was resizing, priming and seating at the same time so didn't bother..

** see instructions # 9) SPEED, then read Note:..

For me it has taken awhile to get familiar with setting up trickle speed..
Had a lot of over charges at first until I recorded trickle speed settings for different powders..

I find that there is less scale drift the longer you leave the scale on..

You can start right away (10mins.) if you watch your scale read-out before returning the pan to the scale to make sure it is the same every time..
On my scale that is 148.9 ..

good luck with your machine..
