What's a better deal for the begginer reloader?

Hornady Lock N Load kit 457$ + 500 free Interlock bullets

vs

RCBS Rock Chucker master kit 414$ - 50$ MIR = 364$

Are Hornady dies harder to comeby at the moment? I'm looking to reload .308 win exclusively.

Do Hornady dies/presses use a different thread then the rest? IIRC most, if not all presses and dies are interchangeable.

Hornady mentions that their lock n load feature is adaptable to other presses, but vice versa, I'm not sure...

get the rock chucker kit.... better press in my opinion.

but better yet... get the Cabela's Rock Chucker Supreme Deluxe Reloading Kit by RCBS that comes with the electronic scale.... that kit will save you a few hundred bucks down the line for #### you will probably buy anyways (the scale alone cost $500 in Canada). Literally all you need after buying that is the dies, set of calipers and maybe $70 on a case cleaner.

I saw the Hornady classic kit (085003) for $380 the other day.
You can PM me if you want to know where.

Just so you know I own the same kit and you work the press with your right hand inserting the cartridges into the press from the left.
I prefer a press that I work with my left hand inserting cartridges from the right side like my cheap Lee Challenger press.

What kind of warranty does Hornady offer?

I have a RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme and its worth its weight in gold. Broke a linkage piece and RCBS sent one out in less than 24 hours to me free of charge. No proof of receipt or anything. I needed a piece I lost for my RCBS APS primer system and they sent it to me free of charge again. I just couldn't say enough about there amazing customer servic and commitment to there customers.
