Hornady manual lock and load Powder Measure

Mine didn't come with a baffle. Not sure if the original owner lost or forgot to ship it but I didn't know any better and was having problems with consistent loads. Not only that but the powder coat inside the hopper may have been breaking down because it would cause powder to get stuck/hung up on it. I ended up buffing off the powder coat on the inside of the hopper, polished it almost to a mirror and then paste wax treated it and the hopper tube then ordered a baffle from Hornady.

This will be my goal to achieve. What did you use to get the powder coat off?

Mine works well, depends on the powder you're using of course. BLC-2 meters better than Benchmark which meters better than Varget. The scale that comes with the kit is crap. With fine ball powder like BLC-2, my powder throw is never more than +/- 0.05 grains as weighed on my gempro 250. More like +/- 0.15 grains with Varget.

This will be my goal to achieve. What did you use to get the powder coat off?

I used a Dremel with an abrasive buff to remove the powder coat then a felt wheel and Fitz polish to polish it up before treating with paste wax.
