I'm trying to find some Hornady 308 WIN 155 GR A-MAX PALMA MATCH
for my Parker Hale. I've been told this is the best factory round for my rifle by the previous owner.
I just don't have the time for reloading right now so I'm looking for a source I can order from.
I've looked at the links up top and I will try a couple phone calls but any help or direction would be appreciated.

Thanks

Shooter's Choice, in Waterloo, Ontario, lists 'em at $37.95. They say they keep 'em in stock and they'll ship(that won't be cheap). Add the W's. .shooterschoice.com/

What kind of a rifle is it, and what kind of shooting are you going to do? It is nice ammo, but unless you are shooting TR, you will probably find as good ammo cheaper.

Wholesale had the 168 gr stuff last time I was in. ~40 a box from memory.

Parker Hale M82 and for the summer I will just be target shooting at the range for fun and trying to get better. Maybe an outing for some longer range stuff a little later on towards the fall.
Eventually hoping to do the sniper match. That's a ways down the road though..

I have 2 very young kids and little time for much.

The previous owner tried several factory match types and found this the best match for the rifle. Specifically that the 155gr Hornady shot better than Federal Gold 168gr 's. He figured he could get .8 or better out of the Hornady. That's good enough for me and establishes somewhat of a known baseline. I don't claim to be a great shot but for the amount of time I get to the range I'd like to know that it's me that is the liability, not the equipment.

Nice rifle. The previous owner is probably right, but if I were you , I would go and buy a box of each of the 5 cheapest 150 gr hunting rounds you can find, and shoot them. Odds are decent that you will find one that will give you the precision you are after.

The 168s that I was talking about were hornady as well. I think TSE has them as well. You might want to try to find hornady TAP as well.

Other then that, good luck.

I ordered some RUAG match and the last 3 boxes of Norma match from TSE. Both are 168gr. I will likely get some of the Hornady in 168gr as well and compare.

I will keep looking but eventually I will reload so if I don't find them then I'll survive. :)

Well I found them at Dante's and got all excited until I saw that they don't ship ammo.
Damn.

Anyway, if anyone else happens to know of other places to try...
