Hornady OAL guage - an offer

seems to be there is more and more threads posted threw out the forum about where to get cases for these tools especially the odd ball cases. So hell i thought i would just throw this out there for my fellow reloaders....
im set up to drill and tap cases for the odd ball 36tpi pitch, so if any one needs cases just shoot me a PM..


all i will need is -

you to mail me 2 fired from your rifle cases (will only need one but better safe then sorry)

i can do unfired cases, but it would be up to you to expand the necks after to allow a bullet to slide in/ out... or if you send a bullet along, i can open the neck with a fine grit flapper wheel

and thats about it really..

shipping both ways will be on you


now "the catch"

between work and other commitments, i really only get shop time on Saturdays, even though its a relatively quick thing to do, shop space is about a 35 min drive from where i live.

i dont require any payment for this, as its a favor for my fellow CGNers, but you have to deal with, if i get your case Monday, chances are nothing will happen for a week haha. sort of a pay it forward thing ya know?



any who, maybe a mod could sticky this so it doesnt become lost?

I have had the tap drill and the tap [5/16-36] for several years now, and have done the same for fellow gunners from time to time.

Anyone who wants to do their own just buy this off eBay (5/16-36 UNF HSS Plug Right Hand Tap 5/16 - 36), cost me $6 bucks deliver in ~2 weeks. Very easy to make, toughest part is centering the drill bit.

Best part of doing your own is using fired cases which should be more accurate even though the HDY and Fed GMM measured the same.
