OK...I'm having a hard time figuring out how hard I need to push on the plunger in order for the bullet to reach the lands.
Is there a section of un-rifled "throat" that I have to push through until the bullet hits the lands and stops moving forward, or do I just stop pushing as soon as the bullet encounters any resistance?
It seem as though some bullets just slide fairly easy and then "click", they stop when they hit the rifling, while others seem to "drag" more until they hit a "dead end".
Thanks in advance for the help!

I have found if the bullet doesn't come out with the case I'm pushing to hard .The amount of pressure you can put on the bullet before in sticks in the throat and doesn't come out with the case seems to vary between bullets and the gun your measuring ,

as stated above I usually do about 5 readings and use different bullets from the same box (they can be different also)

Just my way
