Hi all,

I'm trying to find some Hornady case lube in the aerosol and can't seem to find any. None at Cabelas, none at Wholesale... Canadian Tire lists it on their website, but not for online ordering, and none in stores in Winnipeg. Anyone have a reliable source for this stuff, or a suggestion of something similar I could try and locate? Thanks in advance!

There were around 6 cans on the shelf at Wholesale Sports 2 weeks or so ago. I bought my myself. Go back to Wholesale Sports and ask them if they can have a can shipped out from another store. They will do that if you ask. If you don't ask, they wont say a word because it means paperwork.

Excellent lube and rust preventative.

Sorry. I was thinking of the One Shot oil, not case lube.

For case lube I like the Lee water soluble cream. A one inch worm of that mixed around in a pail of brass is fast.

Thanks for the feedback so far...I wouldn't say I'm "stuck" on One Shot, but it gets lots of positive reviews online. If you have some suggestions for a light, easy to use lube to dust 9mm pistol cases and make the Dillon run smoother I'd appreciate hearing what others have tried....

You're really stuck on One Shot?
There are way better lubes.

It depends on how you want to use it. For sizing bottleneck rifle cases, it does come up short compared to the Dillon lanolin spray, but it does considerably reduce sizing effort compared to un-lubricated pistol cases and leaves sufficiently little residue so that tumbling afterwards is unnecessary.

This is true... If all you want to do is "dust" your pistol cases One Shot should suffice.
In doing rifle cases I found that One Shot wasn't all that great and it seemed expensive given the number if cases I could process on one can.

For the last couple of years I've been using a home made lube that works absolutely great.
Slick as hell and dirt cheap.

1 part liquid lanolin (available at some health food hippy type stores or from Amazon.com) mixed with 12 parts 99% isopropyl alcohol (available at Walmarts drug store for about
$5/500ml)

Warm the lanolin to aid in mixing... 'Stuff works great and unlike One Shot it doesn't stink.

I keep it in a dollar store pump/spray bottle.

I did the same thing when I ran out of Dillon case lube and couldn't find any locally. The home mix is the same thing as the Dillon product.

Thanks to all who responded. Thinning out something cheap and available to be able to spray sounds like a good option. I'm definitely talking just about a little help for pistol cases. I don't shoot enough rounds of rifle these days to be reloading bottlenecks, and found that Hornady Superformance (although expensive) is fast and accurate out of my A-Bolt '06 and the deer seem to agree. :d
