Hornady one shot case lube

At the pharmacy I got 99% Iso and a container of lanolin

One of life's most embarrassing moments, I don't want to repeat.

We are pretty limited here. They won't stock the alcohol , can barely buy mouthwash.

I always shrugged at using lube on pistol brass but I recently try One Shot and it definitely makes for a smoother press.

This is a fast and efficient way to lube. I have only used the Lee Lube, but others may work, too.

This is my preferred method. Never had an issue with it. Tried the RCBS lube and lube pad that came with my partner press, didn't like it as much, actually dented s few shoulders with it must have used too much lube... Back to Lee Lube tumbled in an old margerine container for me.

One Shot is supposed to be quite good for a gun lube though, good lubricating and rust preventing properties according to one extensive study.

Only stuck case I ever had was with one shot, maybe I didn’t use enough or whatever but I made my own, lanolin and 99% alcohol, 1:10, best stuff ever, quick and easy and probably safer.

I've only ever used the Dillon spray since I started reloading on my 550 3 years ago.

I just throw .223 and .308 cases in a big zip lock, spray a few good squirts of lube in, seal it and shake it up good, them dump them out in a tray to dry before sizing them. Never had a stuck case.

I prepped 2000 223 cases this winter, used Costco cooking oil in the spray cans. Put 150 cases in ziplock bag, spray a shot in the bag, seal up and shake. Never had a stuck case. Use the same spray in the kitchen. ;)

I also love One Shot from Hornady and always spray my brass outdoors, then bring it indoors for brass prep. Think about it: airborne chemical lubricant. Do you really want that in your lungs?

I love my Hornady One Shot. It works wonders on rifle brass (I don't bother with it when reloading 9mm). I usually just dump some brass into an old cardboard box, take it outside and gently shake the box/brass around while spraying. Toxic chemicals stay outside the house, brass stays ready to go in a confined container.

Your username and this product go hand in hand!
I have repurposed the one shot case lube, went back to the safe but annoying Dillon Lanolin...

I've had my best results with castor oil, by hand for reforming brass to another caliber.
No stuck cases with it, cheap and available in any drugstore.
Doesn't take much.

Some people thin it with alcohol and spray it, just like making your own with lanolin.
Alcohol should evaporate before sizing.

Great tip. I tried it with 99% iso-propyl alcohol in a 10:1 ratio. Very good results, Thanks!
