Hornady Precision Hunter

I am planning to use this ammo in 280 Remington loaded with 150 gr ELD-X for elk this fall and wondered whether anyone here has used it for elk and what your results were. The manufacturers listed muzzle velocity is 2925 fps and with a 200 yd zero it only drops about 6.7 inches at 300 so looks to be a pretty good round, just wondering about actual field results on elk.

I picked up a box to try in my .270 and was amazed at the accuracy. I was planning to try them on deer this fall. I have been shooting federal fusion 130 grain recently with acceptable accuracy within 200 yards. Ive taken deer the past 3 years with the fusion and core-lokt before that. I've tried many types now it seems and this precision were most accurate in my rifle. Tried nosler partition and my rifle just didn't like them. Just have to see how the precisions work on deer this fall.

I see bullseye in London has it for $45/box. First box I got was at cabelas for $55. Pricing it at shooters Choice now as well.

What is said in that video about the ELD-X are the same as I've heard from several local guys who have tried them on game. The jacket is too light and the bullets come apart too fast. They compared them to game they've seen hit with the now discontinued AMAX bullets.

I've got $5 that says this guy is confusing ELD-M with ELD-X, and also that he hates the kids these days and wants them to get off his lawn.
