Has anyone tried these? I am just found out that hornady even made em. anyway they look cool and after my experience with the 17hmr ammo I wonder if its a good sign. I mean the polymer tip slug just makes it look super evil.

So I take it im not the only one that has trouble finding ammunition other than the big 3 (win, rem, fed)....

sigh....Canada sucks when it comes to this :(

Id even mail order em just to at least try em....any one know any retailers that would be progressive enough to carry them?

Lebarons has them for like $12.54 (code # 8623) for a box of 5. I have 3 or 4 boxes of this stuff but never had any time to try it. Hopefully I join a range soon and then I can let you know.

Sir mail also has them $11 something I think. 1 thing to think about to get good accuracy with them you're probably going to need a 1:28 twist barrel. As it's a fast 2000FPS, light 300Gr slug.

I tried these out of my Remmy 11-87 and I couldn't keep them all on a piece of 11 x 8 paper at 100 yds. Twist was wrong for the speed of the slug. I can get 2.5 inch groups out of the federals.

Thanks for the help...Ill go to lebarons to check it out..if they actually have any in stock...:mad:

I am not sure the twist rate of my barrel....I have looked at winchesters sight and it dosent say squat....any one know the twist rate of a 1300 ranger combo rifled barrel?....looks like it would be arround 1:22" - 1:24" since the rifling dosent even make a complete 360 turn in the length of the barrel.

Or should I try to get (find) a newer barrel with a slower twist rate for the newer and faster sabots.....I had crappy performance with the winchester partition golds so I am wondering if I am walking into the same problem....

Any thoughts?

lebarons should have them in stock as they said 2 months ago they would have them in 45 days. I went about 1 month ago and picked up a few boxes
 
just went today and they said that they have not recieved any yet. Man I hate that french company.....in the last 5 visits I have left the mississauga store with nothing....mabey thats a good thing (for my wallet):mad: :mad: :mad:
didnt even have the 17hmr ammo wanted....let alone federal ammo
