For those that load Hornady SSTs in any caliber - where did you find your best accuracy in seating depth? I ask, as I've loaded many brands in 5 calibers and have always found best accuracy loaded to lands in M700s - the exception was a 7mm Rem Mag that I found .015" off lands the ticket with the SST.

Just wondering for interest sake as I know this is specific to each rifle, powder, primer and projectile choice - but find it interesting that this M700 7mm Rem Mag didn't "take" at the lands with the SST.

long, never had a .308 that would take ssts closer then 45 thou (t3 tac, 2 m305s, famea 542)... unless I seated them so far out that I had to hand feed every round.... just the shape I guess.

that said it never seemed to change the groupings in or out... so I seated them at the crimp cantalour, that T3 punched sub MOA.... the 542 is about 2 moa with 46gr BLC2 (and boy does she kick)
