Has anyone ran much of this stuff through a chronograph beside the normal offerings in the same cartridge? What have you found accuracy wise?

How much different is it from the Light Magnum they used to offer? Is it the same stuff, or similar? I am curious if it is near what they claim, and are the pressures still low vs speed?

It took me a while to find it, but Ganderite tested the Light Magnum a few years back, and am hoping he had a chance to play with the newer Superformance.

I ran some of it in 308 through a ballistic lab. Velocity was about 200 fps faster and pressure the same as other 308. Impressive stuff.

They load about 56gr of slow ball powder in a straight wall case and compress it whil it is in a die. then they neck the case and insert bullet.

I was shooting the Hornady Superformance 200gr SP out of my 35 Whelen and they were 2940 on the chrono and the accuracy was not bad on my single shot Handi-rifle.

my son had a griz permit tried them with 180's in an odd 6 they hit a good 1.5" higher than the hottest i loaded, the only thing the bullets are crap got complete separation on a whitetail so we opted for nosler partitions in an handload no issues

Where is Ganderite? Lol

I'm going to have to pick up some Superformance factory ammo in a few different calibers and run it against a few standard offerings I guess.

Have not used in a while. Used in a 30-06. Accuracy was good. Chrono was 100 fps less than advertised. The bullets work but on game waste a lot of meat if hit wrong.

I bought them for both the 243 and 308 and they did shoot a bit higher. The bullets come apart badly though when they connect with game and we won't be using them next year because of that.
