Hornady VS Federal in 17HMR V-MAX ?

I had bought 1 box of the regular winchester stuff. My groupings were easily an inch bigger at 100 yards with it so i wont buy any more. Never had a split case with my CZ455 though.

I have never had a Winchester case split in my Cooper, but they sure seem to cause issues in Savage rifles.

I have an unfired Hornady v-max that is split! It's not always the gun!

Stubble, win ran a bad lot, and they split in any and all rifles. You obviously didn't get a bad bunch, as they split in my shooting buddies cooper. Its the ammo, not the rifle.
