I am currently running 165gr. Interbonds in my 300WSM, I have yet to recover a bullet from the 4 deer and 1 wolf I have shot with this combination. Exit wounds would suggest that they are performing as advertised.
I on the other hand run 150gr. SST's in my M1 Garand they are moving at just below 2800fps, and I shot my biggest black bear(7 ft, 450lbs.) with that load at 150yds. into his South end, broke the femur, and he dropped dead about 10 seconds after being hit.
As for which one to use, well that's up to the shooter to choose, but like many have pointed out the SST's, and Basllistic Tips, are a longer range bullet, designed for lower impact velocities.
