Hot 25-06 load

I was out this morning with my brother with the chronograph and i was suprised by a load i have come up with, 60.5gr of retumbo behind a 115 partition using WW cases,WLR primers for 3260fps this load was just starting to flatten the primer but was easy to exstract, 60gr of retumbo gave 3230fps and did'nt show any sings of pressure. I was shooting a Ruger MII SS laminate and i have shot this load a couple times already and it has really good accuracy. Hope someone has a s good success as i have.

Hi John, I checked Hodgdon's website and their load is 60.5 gr. of Retumbo under a 117 gr bullet. I believe they were using Hornady bullets in the data and not getting your velocity though.

I have used H870 to get 3200 with 120 Speers, but it leaves the barrel pretty dirty.

How clean does the Retumbo burn?

Hi Ted the retumbo is as clean as any other exstreme powder from Hodgdon, i used H870 at your advice and was getting about 3170fps with good accuracy but you are right it does dirty the barrel, the only reason i did'nt continue using it is that it is the best powder for my 7mm rem mag and is hard to find so i saved it for the mag. I find the accuracy with the retumbo a little better and speed also. If you try it Ted let me know how it does for you, Take care.
