My loading data shows really whimpy loads for my .270gr Bullets. 2550fps is the fastest. Any of you guys got some loads that achieve 2700? The powder I have to work with are, H4895, IMR3031, IMR4064. If none of you wish to share because of liability reason, no problem. I completely understand. PMing the load would probably be best so you don't have your loads posted on an open forum for someone to come along and think that load is a minimum load and starts working up from it.

My bullets I have are 270gr Swift A-Frame, .270gr Interlock, .300gr Partition, 300gr DGX, & 260gr Accubond. Purchasing new powder is definitely an option for me if the powders I have won't do anything fast. I noticed a Barnes reloading manual has a 2740fps load in its manual for 270gr TSX with a max charge of 72gr of H4895 while the Hornady manual has a max charge of 69grs of H4895 with .270gr Interlock at 2550fps.

Don't take the charge weights as gospel, but the velocity prediciton at max pressure will be spot on. Start low, work up slow in 0.5gr increments and use a chrony to guide your development

...i've reloaded 250 and 270 grain hornady's and TSX in both 375's for 30 years

...yes, i achieve 2688 fps in the 270 grain SP's using H4350 and very fine accuracy

Gonna go with lighter bullets in my .375 next time around. Nosler load data for their 260gr bullets achieve just under 2800 fps from a 24" barrel. That's smokin'! :eek:

if high velocity is of interest you'll do better going with a slower burn rate than H4895
 
I don’t need it to be insane fast. I just want it to be closer to 2700fps rather than 2550. It probably wouldn’t do anything different in performance against an animal just my mind incorrectly tells me I need 2700fps in a 270gr bullets.
 
doesn't take much effort to hit 2500+ fps with a 300gr bullet in a 24" barrel. In my 19.5" barrel I can push 300gr Nosler Partitions & Swift A-Frames to almost 2600 fps with Win760
