Hot Lips vs. Steel Lips

I've heard some swear by and some swear at the MGW 50 round teardrop mag. A plus is it seems to have the same steel header and feed lips as the Ruger and BC Steel Lips mags. I swear most of the 10/22's need that for decent functioning.

For the money, I would personally stick with the BC Steel Lips mags, only because in my experience they give much more reliable functioning.

More like JAMLINE. Don't waste your hard earned buck on that peice of crap. The only way to get that thing to feed properly is to smack it after each shot...
+1!
The best I've ever managed with the 50rd mag is 1 stoppage in 50 rounds. Usually it's between 10 and 20. You have to give it a good whack for it to lift the rounds up. One time I was able to turn the mag upside down and empty about 20 rounds out, looks like an empty mag, give it a whack, whops, there are the other 30. lol.

Steel lips work best, the big problem with hot lips is if an inexperienced shooter is loading them they tend to force the ammo thru the skinnier part thus wearing out the lips. I use a speed loader from bc works great and would probably be easier on the mags.

I find my BC speedloader scuffs the bullets when it loads them and then I get some wild fliers. If I load em by hand, no probs. I mighta got a junk loader as lots of people seem to use them without problems.
