Hot new 300 Magnum!

Heaven forbid but if only allowed one rifle, mine would be a 30 cal magnum. In my case and my favorite, a 308 Norma Magnum.



The 30 cal magnums have always been my favorite 30 and provided much of my better accuracy results.

Initially, those would be my words exactly but it does grow on you.

I bought two and took one to the deer camp expecting scorn from the other guys, but it grew on them as well. One fellow wants to buy mine in 223.

Sometimes change is good and the "eye shock" appeal is there so it makes them funner to carry.

I picked up one of the "flamers" in 270 WIN, was a pretty "ghey" combo, so I sold it to my brother in law haha!

Man, the comments on that rifle remind me of a friend I had in high school. His theory of lifetime happiness was to marry a woman who could suck chrome off a trailer hitch but be so ugly that no one else would ever want to take her away... The one he picked,I don't know about the trailer hitch part of it but he definitely got the "ugly" part down pat... in spades....they've been happily married for 42 years now.

Was thinking that myself...... He is a better man than me to aim his poi at then center of two cross crossed pieces of painted tape and shoot a grouping like that.......

Just guessed on a load, 73 gr H450 with 180 Speer spitzer boat-tails, and WLRM primers...just crazy!

Looks fine to me. Once you stray away from blued steel and walnut what difference does it make? Good gun and caliber.

You don't need a 300WM. A 308 will do just fine down east.

Chronographed the load at the same time I sighted it in........2900 fps. Cases fall out of the chamber.

Good enough, but let's see what it shoots like at 3000+

Actually, the green cross makes a very fine aiming point. Give it a try, and you'll be surprised.
