No idea who coined the term "Iraqi reload". Spent several years living, training, and working with Iraqis and I never encountered this. This is just over complicating a simple emergency reload. *Might* save a fraction of a second, but you can't do it on the move and you may lose positive control of your weapon.

It was invented by the Spetsnaz for the AK platform. Although some of the features of that rifle platform make it easier in my point of view than to do it on the VZ58 platform.

I'll be honest with you, the "slap chop" reload is a close second to the "iraqi reload".
