i went to the range today and saw some guys firing a VZ with this HOT Norinco 7.62x39mm rounds!!! It created a huge fireball out of the mazzle every single shot! I traded a few rounds with the gentleman and compared it with the czech stuff. yup, huge fireball with stronger recoil too!

The rounds come in a white, sky blue box. On the box it clearly states Norinco 7.62x39mm non-corrosive! the round is copper-jacketed soft point and has a olive drab casing. the head stamp is: 53 (at the top) 94 (at the bottom).

any idea is it save to fire in VZ, CZ-858, or SKS.

I recall people on CGN complained about the Norc ammo when it came out, "oh it was too dirty." Now they wished they had stocked it. It's way better compared to the Czech corrosive stuff.

I remember firing some 223 out of a Mini14 at dusk. Looked like a flaming basketball on the end of the gun!

sounds neato.

I have to say in all the years i've been shooting, i've only ever seen muzzle flashes on pistols, and a couple rifles..

I would sure like some sort of 'hot' ammo in 308, 303 and 30-06
