I enjoy BP muzzleloading firearms very much. But there are certain boundaries one should not cross.
Hovey went on a combined cap and ball revolver and blunderbuss hunt for deer & feral hogs, on an off shore Georgia island.
The .54 Traditions blunderbuss was used on a feral pig, and big surprize here & drum roll please, it got away wounded.
Hovey has since supposedly taken a turkey at a purported 25 yards with it. It was not caught on film though. If he did actually harvest one with this .54 smoothbore, I suspect considerable luck had more to do with it, then the proper tool for the job.
His hunting for the most part is pretty much good stuff, but his promotion of this thing makes me wonder if he is paid to do so by Traditions.
Am I totally out of line here guys??
