Canadians are carrying restricted firearms in the states now. Why ignore the fact.
I don't know what the mods reasons are for.......
Could it be that bad? Would depend on how sensible the posters would be.
With all the stupid "zombies" threads, maybe the members couldn't post responsibly.
Prove me wrong or right.
It's important here to differentiate between 'allowing discussion' and "starting up a dedicated forum on the board".
CCW or ATC discussions are welcome, and indeed we see 'em pretty regular. And we have these sections in politics to discuss them as well.
However - you must remember that Greentips is bombarded with requests for new forums pretty regular. Some people have wanted specific forums for all different kinds of black rifles, some have talked about a hunting forum for each different animal, some for each different province, etc etc etc etc.
Greentips looks at whether or not there appears to be enough volume of posts or a special need that justifies an additional forum. Otherwise, the place just becomes a MESS to navigate. Some guns have gotten their own forum or subforum, like shotguns, or i beleive sks's. But that was based on activity.
Heck, for the longest time all we ever had in 'politics' was 'articles'. Till we could show the value and volume justification for more forums. And some of the ones which got created were actually cut back (remeber we used to have an 'actions' forum for each province.)
CCW discussions are fine. Nobody is asking anyone to 'ignore' the discussion or anything even close to that. It just hasn't been enough of an issue that it deserves a dedicated forum at THIS point. The more it comes up, the more people are discussing it, and the more it can be shown that such a forum is necessary, the more likely we'll get one. In the meantime, by all means discuss away.
