How about a little NEA love for a change?

ah well then. i assumed 20mm because they dont have a 30mm listed on their website. hopefully you can track them down. i think leupold makes an anti reflective device for 30mm tubes aswell if you wanted to go that route.

i just want something to keep the dust off it while in storage and really like the flip covers.
ill try to order a tactical one online from butler creek.
i grabbed a leupold scope cover that covers the whole thing for now and will probably use it for transport, its nice because its padded.

ive got my vortex off the 10.5" rifle now so i can go find some butler creeks for it...there goes my perfect zero... i was hitting .5" groups at 50 yards yesterday (off a rest)

I'm pretty sure it's the 20mm objective lense covers you need. The scope is a 1.25-4x20mm but a 30mm tube. So you should be good to go. I would phone/email to double check though.

I just emailed leupold... Hopefully they can help me out. I also told them I couldn't find one in a local shop...maybe ill get a freebie...lol...doubt it.

Mine showed up today !! So far it looks really good ,
14.5 in barrel , 12 in rail , mid length gas system. Ambi sling adapter plate

Here's my first build. It has obviously the NEA handguard 9" and inside of it is an NEA 10.5" heavy barrel.

I've taken it shooting once and after I'm finding a little annoying vertical jiggle. Can tips on locking it down? Also, I think I stripped the screws on the guard. What screws are they so I can get a replacement?

Hey, mine just showed up as well, the 10.5 version. For the price point, I don't think you can complain. Now to see how it shoots! One thing I did notice, the buffer tube appears to be milspec, but the buttstock is commercial, so a bit longer, a bit loose, and slanted end. I swapped it out for an old school Colt collapsible I had around, and it fits perfect. I think it looks pretty cool, along with the Colt 20 rounder!

Man, that Magpul stuff is a tight fit.

Got Mine as well. 12"rail with 14.5" barrel. Nothing modified yet as i'm trying to figure out what sights i want to run on it. Thinking of a leupold with the fire dot reticle and inexpensive magpul BUS.

My 12.5" CQB rig is ready for the coming season! Mirror kommandos, look out!

That sliding buttstock sure is snug and tight. I gotta put down my murse and get it on. I even have PING up in the front end. I feel like I'm back with my M14 (gots lots of PING). :)

Even really snug with my RRA 16" middy upper!

Hut, hut , hut! :D

Cheers all!

I was at Target Sports in Gormley, ON (North of Toronto) and they actually had TWO in stock. I was surprised.

Uh... yeah, that was Saturday afternoon, 02 March ... :D

One was an 18" and the other was a 14.5" unit. Wow... I asked the young staffer behind the counter and he replied that they hardly get them in and when they do, they sell quickly. I read the tag and the serial number was a few from my 12.5" you see in the picture above.

With my old eyes, the price I read was $ 1089.00 (remember, I'm an old phart)....

Remember black and green rifle lovers... it's got to work for you game!

Cheers,
Barney

anyone see the new line NEA is about to put out?

they come in 4 colours and they have redesigned the quadrail. they look amazing.

That quad rail looks decent without the pinch points. Much nicer. I'm glad they redesigned it.
