There are SL8/G36 conversions, but do you think someone will make an SL8/AR-15 conversion. I don't like folding stocks. I would prefer a collapsable AR style one. It could be a good non-restricted 223 AR-15 looking gun.

kind of like this. If only it was as easy to cut and paste the real thing:D

I'm not too up on sticking AR collapsing stocks on just anything. They look great on AR's but seem to be missing too much mass in the wrist area for a number of other firearms.

Someone want to cut and paste an AR collapsing stock onto a snow shovel? It may look good. :D

This is a one-off that I found on some German web page some time ago. If anyone is interested (and can read German), I could probably find it again.

Hi,

the picture is from this site: http://www.sl-8.de/Misc/misc.html

It's the site of a german gunsmith that's specialized in SL8 conversions. The german text on that page says that it's a prototype (proof of concept), but will propably hit the market in december or january.

Then there is a small german manufacturer that produces a rifle that combines features of the AR15 and the SL-8. It's an aluminum construction that uses a modification of the SL8 bolt and piston system. It accepts standard AR15 accessories like triggers, stocks and mags. The barrels are Lothar Walther match barrels. Calibers are .223, 6,8 SPC and 6,5 Grendel (not available yet).

The only picture I could find is one of this prototype:
