I bought a matching pair of Tikka Sporters both with set triggers. One in .260Rem and the other in .308Win. Rumours were that select barrels were used and based on these two rifles I would agree. Bug hole groups, my go to 500 yard crows and coyotes. A bit heavy for pushing coyotes through deep snow but stable when you get down. If I was young enough for “Run & Gun” competitions I think they would do well. We had them in .223Rem and 6.5Swedish and again outstanding accuracy. My personal thoughts were that the .260Rem had a leg up on the 6.5CM and I do have a bunch of 6.5CMs to compare it to….and as a side note the 6.5x55 can hold its own against most of the newcomers also. Can’t go wrong with the Tikka Sporter.I've been considering a T3X Sporter, supposed to be total all-rounder for any shooting competition, or so Tikka says. Anyone have any experience with one?
