50 yard standing up all 10 rounds center mass (4 papers in square)
50 yard bench rest all 10 rounds in single piece of standard paper
Glock 17 was my most accurate 9mm ….25 yards shooting tactical stance, relatively quick, 10 rounds in a large orange size grouping
Hk Mark 23 using +P 200 grain @ 1050 fps 6” match grade bbl ….100 yard human silhouette, bench rest, 10 rounds all center mass in a dinner plate size grouping
Colt 1911 Govt.45 (new series 80) and my Glock 21 3rd gen standard sights are both EXTREMELY accurate
25 yards is Childs play, near fist size groupings standing up tactical stance, single piece of paper all center mass
50 yards is still very doable at a PPC target all 10 rounds center mass, bench rest, standing slightly wider groups, but still all on page
100 yards bench rest is VERY doable
200 yards is pushing it, but also completely doable with proper elevation and a spotter. Especially with a MARK 23 using +P 200gr @ 1,050 fps with its long sight radius and 6” match grade barrel with tighter gas seal (due to non traditional rifling)
The operator is the main key here obviously….proper grip/stance and trigger control, knowing the trigger reset, and when the sear breaks, i.e. striker fired, double/single action, etc. A solid 1911 is hard to beat, and I love the Glock trigger reset. My G17 3rd gen was twice as accurate as my Beretta M9. I’ve owned the HK MARK 23 twice years apart and it’s just on a different level of marksmanship with proper ammunition
Most accurate pistol I’ve ever owned and shot extensively…..
Glock 17 9mm /3rd gen
Glock 21 .45 Auto /3rd gen
Colt 1911 .45 ACP Govt Model (all 5 of them equally as accurate) Series 70 Repro/01991/XSE, etc
Hk MARK 23 .45 Auto
