How accurate is your 858 with irons?

My old CZ858 did the same as my Russian SKS's.
About a small dinner plate at 100 meters.
I never personally saw anyone with an 858 do much better with it using surplus ammo.
The only thing a man will ever exaggerate more than his #### size are his group averages on internet gun forums....

hahaha thats a great one liner!

So would you peg the group size at around 6MOA?

Yes.
With 100 % honesty I can say it's 4-6 MOA with the irons and surplus ammo at 100 meters anyhow.
Past that and she would spread a lot more. At 150 meters I was taking shots at a silhouette torso and it was about a 12" group almost at that point. All still hits though! It's a great combat/battle rifle but she is far from accurate. I would say average accuracy at best with a max effective range no further than 250 meters using the irons. It's a comm bloc battle rifle designed around and to parallel the exact same premise, role and battle tactics as the Kalashnikov. Outstanding in that aspect though.
Compared to my M16A1 clone shooting 55gr FMJ which I can hit 24" square plates with the irons almost every shot out to 200 meters as long as I can see them keep in mind. I'm no "sniper" and I consider myself a slightly above average to good marksman. But those were my honest results when I owned mine.
