How are the .260s selling?

That would be another Kodak moment.

You would likely have enjoyed seeing me shoot a cougar out of a tree with a 60 year old 30-30.:DI found it in excellent condition for $300,used it for the hunt,and sold it for $450 right after the hunt.
 
the 260 may not be a hot number as a hunting cartridge in Canada but in tactical competition in the U.S. it is extremely popular ... the 6.5's (Grendal, Lapua, Creedmore , 260 and the 6.5 x 284) dominate many forms of competition partlicularly long range
 
I find it odd that the .308Win, the 7mm-08 and the 243Win are all popular cartridges, but the 260Rem never caught on to the same degree, even though it is based on the same case.

We have Remington's marketing department to thank for that. IMHO they never really gave the .260 the chance that it deserved. That and the fact that it is based on the .308 case and kind of squeezed in between the .243 and 7mm-08, people may have wondered what the point of the thing was?
