How big is this GRIZZLY?

This photo was taken recently by a motorist on the Icefields Parkway, between Banff & Jasper.

I'm thinking it's something like 7-1/2' to 8' and 650-700 lbs. What do you think? I always get a kick out of attempting to judge the size of a bear and this sure looks like a good one to me.

"...thought grizzlies were big?..." He's bigger than you are. Yogi can reach 1500 lbs and run at 35 mph.
"...judge the size of a bear..." Hard to tell without something to refer to.

Big Shape. That's about all you can tell. Probably as big as the average adult bear gets in that particular area.

I'd say it's an average size grizzly, not small, looks good, but not a monster.

Too big for a spear,though.

This is black was (according to the "internet" ) 595lbs Actualy looks like it could go 600lbs so it might be true. Anyways, that grizz is much heavier by size and by nature.

I have shot quite a few blackies in the head, 7 mm mag shooting 160 Nosler makes for no tracking.
There is a big apple tree killer around my neck of the woods,I may have to take him this year if a good shot presents itself.
