How can I find crown land in PQ?

I've been awfully tempted many times to go out hunting small game early in the morning or making a pass after work. The only problem I have is the drive... it takes me 2.5 hours to get to my hunt camps.

I've been pondering about going somewhere close to where I live but I have no idea where to start... Should I look for crown land or should I go talk to farmers?

If I could find a piece of crown land in the area, that would be perfect. Is there a map anywhere? a website? anything? Town hall perhaps?

Rural municipility Office, Natural Resource office, all should have maps showing crown land in your area.

Yup, your town or city has maps for it's whole area. It will show each owned property and crown land (if there is any in that town). Check Hydro lines too...although some of it is rented from Hydro Quebec and you will see posted land saying don't pass.

Talk to the farmers. I have over 1000 acres of farm land that I can hunt all within 10 mins drive from home. Most will be happy to let you use the land if you promise to leave the deer alone.
I also follow railroads outside of city limits. Lots of critters use them to travel also Just remember that you will be sharing the rail lines with others so do be very careful, lots of walkers and quads!
