How can I level out the bases on a M98-based sporter?

I bought a swede that had a scope mount crooked. I put the rifle in the mill and recut the edges of the bases. Then for good measure i cut the tops. Took half an hour. Fixed.

In effect you milled the bases smaller in every aspect... How do rings fit properly?

Balls. He shipped me the wrong Williams mount. Back to square 1.

I had worked out a solution using the Parker Hale A28 rear base and a higher front base that should put you very close to parallel to bore centre line. PM me your address and I'll mail these to you. Ron
