How can I preserve a rabbit's foot?

I shot my first rabbit this weekend and I would like to preserve the feet.

Can anyone here offer up any tips on how to go about treating the foot so it won't spoil or rot?

I will post the pics of my bunny when I get them from my hunting buddy and fellow CGNer Seth.

Just let it dry out, it doesn't need any special treatment. Did that lots when I was a kid.

All i did as a kid was dry them out and thats it, never had a problem.Suppose you could pour a little borax on the exposed parts and preserve that way .

Let it dry out,then you can mount it on the wall next to your first deer rack.

If you've a dehydrator you can put them in it. I've done a few yote and coon tails should only take a day or two and you'll be good to go.

step 1 - cut off rabbits foot

step 2 - put it in your basement for a month

step 3 - make a fancy key chain
