How can I tell what Sub2000 9mm variant I have?

I am a very happy owner of a Kel-tec Sub2000 in 9mm... it might be the most 'fun' gun I own. It takes Glock mags, but for the life of me, I can't remember whether I own the g17 or g19 variant. I checked the gun over, and I cannot find any information other then serial number, calibre, and manufacturer information. So I figured I'd check the magazines for information - I have the one factory 10rd it came with, as well as 2x 10/33 mags I ordered to supplement it. The Glock mag just says Glock with the Glock logo and 9mm, and the 10/33 magazines just say 'Korea' and 9mm.

So I'm left feeling like an idiot, because my records seem to be incomplete in terms of what I ordered, and you'd figure I remember what I ordered. Not the case! Can anyone help this poor fool figure out what variant I own? Google has not proved to be of any useful assistance.

I actually didn't know there was more than one model available to us. As far as I know all the ones imported by Vault are G17 mag compatible. When did we start getting different models? Or is this an IRG import?

Yes there are these 2 variants. The G19 version has a shorter grip/ i.e. magwell than the G17 version to flush-fit the shorter G19 mags. The longer G17 mags and your longer KCI mags (Korean) will fit either version. G19 mags will only fit the G19 version.

When did they start giving us options? When I ordered mine it was G17 or nothing. Not sure why anyone would want a shorter grip. It's not like this is a CC pistol where smaller would be better.

It may have been offered later as an option. The only difference is the crappy plastic of the grip is factory cut shorter. Most customers did not like the shorter grip. It was offered for mag compatibility bc the Glock 19 is very popular in the US.

The G17 grip is longer. If you could post a picture of your grip I could tell you by sight. I had a G17 myself.

After a lot more reading, some of it conflicting and some of it confused (turns out I was looking at modified grips as well) I think I have the g17 model, mostly due to the semicircular notches in the 2nd pic:

Absolutely the G17 model. The G19 model has much less grip below that bottom screw.

I learned which was which over on thektog.org when I was trying to figure out which one I had myself.
