How come apparent low interest in T/C Icon and Venture?

The Icon is a more expensive rifle to make than the Venture and in todays world of manufacturers all fighting for the bottom and huge market saturation it was bound to be toast.
Plus the Icon had mag issues that they decided to fix as warranty instead of improving QA...
Retailers only have so much capital for inventory and something has to give considering the multitude of bolt actions available.
My experience;
Icon Weathershield 30/06
-Very accurate, if I can attain their claims with cheap ammo anyone should be happy with it.
-Great stock, I love the overmolded grippy feeling.
-Fits and points perfectly for me (5'10" average guy)
-Nice bolt cycling.
-Good trigger.
-Not a lightweight but definately not a tank- doesn't kick like a lightweight anyway.
-Mags fell out or failed to feed so I sent it out for warranty repair +++returned quickly and now works perfectly- no charge and great service at MD Charlton+++

I think they are having a hard time breaking out of their niche due to excessive supply and limited demand.

I like the Icon for its advanced features, like the the way the bolt is disassembled, the integral scope bases, and the trigger. If you look at the German Haenel Jaeger sold by Wolverine, you will find a lot of striking similarities in the design...not sure which manufacturer copied from whom.

There are quality issues, however.

My Icon (308 Win, Classic with Ultrawood stock) has become a safe queen lately. Reasons for that are two-fold: 1) It lost accuracy due to the bedding block coming loose in the stock - a warranty issue, but with anticipated wait times for repairs of 8+ months, I have procrastinated on getting it sent in (but will get on it now). 2) Other quality issues: Corrosion!!! 2 hours of sleet and snow on it and the jeweled bolt will show red marks! Same with the barrel, unless you clean up moisture and oil it immediately, it will show the onset of permanent tarnish. Friends have had the same experiences with their brand new T/C Ventures they used for hunting this fall. Has anyone else had this??
Compare this to my Pedersoli Sharps 1874, which I carried around under the same conditions and absolutely neglected - soaking wet from snow and condensation, snow down the barrel and around the breech. Quick wipe-down after 10 days and not a mark to be found, not even on the case-hardened parts. My Browning A-bolt holds up similarly well (but is not as cool as the Sharps).

I have a standard Venture in 308. I find it handles very well, excellent trigger and the best part is it has grouped an inch or better with the 4 different types of 150gr low end factory ammo I have put through it.

Cheers
