How come we can't get milspec 5.56 ammo? I have never seen any here

No SNC/IVI does not sell the civis. The cost for C77/M855 is $0.75 per rd give or take a couple cents. I was just speaking to an associate of theirs.

Also, 5.56 NATO is in short supply these days what with training requirements for Afghanistan for the Canucks and Iraq for the Yanks. So... no out of date lots available to surplus to the civvy market. Besides, DND, never puts any surplus on the civvy market in any case :(

Not absolutely never. IIRC, there was a lot that was surplused in the late 80's or early 90's due to a problem with the core insertion. It didn't meet accuracy standards so was surplused.

Yeah its about the barrel twists-M16A1/A2 and all that I just didn't know why Greentips the Admin had the handle until now. Just put it together.
