I prefer the older shotguns over the new ones most times. I think my next new to me will be a nice Benelli pump action, when I find the right one.

No question. Does anyone even make a pump with nice wood anymore?

They still make them, but they are a lot pricier than the synthetics. For Hunting I am now okay with the plastic stocked guns, they dont get marked up as easily and I don't worry about getting them wet in the bad weather.
My old Model 12 was a nice gun in its day, but I fell like I'm ruining it when I take it duck hunting and fire steel shot through it. It only sees the trap range nowadays.
