How crappy does it have to be before you pass on going out?

When the old timers were still kickin' I'd never miss a Wednesday evening at the range.
It is, however, a covered range, and we spent more time inside, by the stove,
shootin' the $hit, that the guns.
Sometimes I didn't even take a gun with me.
But I sure learned alot about the history of the area.
And some of it was probably true.:)

I shoot till mid January and pick back up in April or May. I go if its not windy as all hell and snowing. I'm comfy shooting a 2ish hr. range session in as low as around -10C, other wise ill just sit at home and tell people on the internet that I went out shooting and tell them how good I shoot. :D

Minus 17 with a 7-14mph breeze at first light this morning. Still put about 50 rounds down range this morning with two rifles. The brake on the Edge sure kicks the snow up. I did manage 3 5 shot groups <.5moa, all horizontal... And got some developement done with e-tips in my 325. I like to shoot my hunting rifles in the same conditions I hunt in. A load thats great at 25, is not nessisarily that great at -20.

My new job has me working way too much, only 5 trips to the range since mid august, I was shooting every weekend before. When you don't get to choose your rec time you go with what you get.

I will go out in -20 to one of the nearest grazing preserves where I have permisson and just shoot rocks at 400-500 and beyond where it is safe to do so and maybe a coyote or 2 if lucky anything to get out side and out of the house.

Temperature is not my master........ but wind? well I am a fan of learning to shoot in all conditions but load delopement is misleading to me when it gets gusty.
