How dangerous are the gophers this year?

most provinces require you be accompanied by a licenced professional hunter... and I think the same rules apply as they do in africa, nothing less than a 375h&h

ive read news reports where it seems that gophers not only hunt in packs now, but also have learned flanking tactics and can mimic the call of a beautiful human woman. if you've ever seen the movie kongo and remember the laser sensored turret defence, that should be the minimum you have if you plan on camping out.

I've never been gopher hunting, this apparentman-eater is not all that abundant back home in NS where I do my hunting. It seems if I ever do, I'd better trade in the ol' Winchester 1886 45-70 for something a little more potent. I was thinking maybe a "Big Medicine" 1895 405WCF like Teddy Roosevelt used to use in Africa might do the job, but now I'm not certain. I'd hate to come home an amputee or something. Rather take my chances in Iraq or Afghanistan I think.
Curious, what's a big buck gopher score? The buck rabbits get pretty big out this side of the country.

i usually hunt for the sport...bare hands with knife in teeth...kinda old school if you ask me, but hey if you need a 50 cal i'll step aside for the ladies.

*no disrespect to the "real" female hunters of coarse*

Bazooka - minimum. Good supply of hand grenades is a good option. Small mortar would also be acceptable.:sniper:
