how did everyone do

I posted this elsewhere .........

Here in NB we have to attach a tag to the deer after it's been shot. It then has to go to a registration station to have the deer "registered" and any info taken. Hassle yes, but that the deal here in NB.

Today is the last day of a 4 week rifle season with 2 weeks before that for bow. This morning I talked to a fellow that works in a fairly large gun store here in the province. I asked him about the # of deer that has been registered where he works. He said .... "21 so far this season", then he said they used to register that many on the first day.

Needless to say, I didn't see a tail. :(

I am red in the face from dragging this guy across the prairies in southern manitoba.
Luckily there was frost on the ground and lots of ground cedar to make the calf sled slide a bit easier.
Rough scored 139 7/8 before deductions, 131 5/8 afterwards, being a 4 X 5 ended up costing a bit.

Hey Taffman, you should check out this new invention, it's called the wheel. Just kidding, crappy joke anyway, nice deer. :)

It was quite slow in my area this year, managed to get this 4x3 so far.I'm going out again this weekend as the season ends sunday & have 2 more tags to fill.
