How did they confirm deer are color blind?

I was wondering how they have ever figured this out. If you know please share.

I would think they'd have dissected an eyeball and found that it doesn't have rod's n cones like humans do.

This is exactly how they "suspect" deer don't see colour. They have rods which record definition, but no cones.

It aprears that blue jeans show up ,cause they are not natural in nature! Where orange,brown ,yellow ect are fall leaf colors!

I've had deer very close to me while I was wearing all Levi's.
Movement is what really catches their eye .

That is exactly how they do it. Deer have both as humans but not in the same ratio's.
