Well we only got one in a week of hunting with 10 guys. The one deer was hit at about 30 yards with a 270, I suspect the bullet clipped a tree as the entrance hole was large, about 3/4". There was no exit wound on this deer and the blood trail was not great, the deer travelled about a half km before piling up, right on an ATV trail which was nice as it was a 114lb dressed doe. When we dressed it the top of the heart, 1 lung and the whole liver was shot out, how did this thing fo a half km? I was really surprised when we opened her up.

I saw my cousin make a 150 yard shot on a very large mule doe with a .303 british. The dang deer ran down a hill, across a field, and into some buck brush over a mile away. We were able to see it lay down in the brush and not get back up....we actually had thought that he had made a bad shot...we heard the thwack and and saw the animal hump from the impact.

In any case, we hiked the mile or more to where we saw it lie down, and sure enough it was dead as a doornail....well, one we cut her open and started dressing it we were able to determine this deer had very little lung tissue left, and other than pieces, there was no heart to be found at all.....couldnt believe it...same deal how can a deer with no heart and lungs run full tilt over a mile??? Crazy.

Bush - Adrenaline

You don't feel the pain

Too much is not enough
Nobody said this stuff makes any sense
We're hooked again

Point of no return
See how the buildings burn
Light up the night
Such pretty sight

Adrenaline keeps me in the game
Adrenaline you don't even feel the pain
Wilder than your wildest dreams
When you're going to extremes
It takes adrenaline
(You don't feel the pain)

Sail through an empty night
It's only you and I who understand
There is no plan

Get closer to the thrill
Only time will kill
What's in your eyes
Is so alive

Adrenaline keeps me in the game
Adrenaline you don't even feel the pain
Wilder than your wildest dreams
When you're going to extremes
It takes adrenaline

Run through the speed of sound
Every thing slows you down
And all color that surrounds you
Are bleeding to the walls
All the things you really need
Just wait to find the speed
Then you will achieve
Escape velocity

Too much is not enough
Nobody gave it up
Im not the kind
To lay down and die

Adrenaline
keeps me in the game
Adrenaline
you don't even feel the pain
Wilder than your wildest dreams
When you're going to extremes
It takes adrenaline

Adrenaline
Screaming out your name
Adrenaline
you don't even feel the pain
Wilder than your wildest dreams
When you're going to extremes
It takes adrenaline

(Adrenaline)

You don't even feel the pain
You don't even feel the pain
I'm going to extremes
There is nothing in between
You don't even feel the pain
You don't even feel the pain
You don't even feel the pain
You don't even feel the pain

Does amazing things!

Love that song

Still, I understand Adrenaline, but if you cannot ciculate blood or get any oxygen into that blood how do you still run. Is it just that the nerves continue to fire just like when you take the head off a chicken?

A guy I used to hunt with put 4 300 win mags into a bull moose's chest as it was being chased by dogs. He wasn't sure if he's hit it or not because it didn't stagger or even slow down. They walked to where he though it was when he shot it, and there was blood EVERYWHERE. The thing ran for about half a kilometer. They found it staggering around in a swamp. They threw rocks at it to get it to shore. Once it got to the edge, it collaped in a heap. They walked up to it and it tried to get up!!!!!! One of the guys in the gang cracked it in the back of the neck with a hatchet, and that finished it. When they dressed it, the critterer didn't have a drop of blood left in him. Once they get freaked out on go juice, there's no telling how far they'll go.
