How did your rifle collection start?

Just basing my opinion in how the OP posted. I would tend to agree with you on it being a general forearms posting. But seeing as most people start with at least one or two reds cause they are cheaper to aquire, probably not a big deal. No?

I dunno where it started for me...... I think it was with an entire pallet of sks-d models from lever arms back when allan lever used to run the place and sit in his chair :)
or it mighta been my dad's ol .303 brit that I borrowed for my first hunting trip and never gave back LOL he always said he was gonna come hunting with me and never did. At least someone in the family gave that rifle a purpose .

started with a ruger 10/22 which my buddy bought while I was waiting for my license to arrive, then 4 months later when license arrived I went into reliable to grab a used rem 700 and an SKS, walked out with a mosin aswell. Then after the first range trip the SVT was ordered from Weimerjack. Then came the savage 64f from EE, than 870 supermag from reliable during their amazing prechristmas sale. Now just hoping to get lucky on a semi auto warrior.

I was given a Ross M-10 sporterized rifle in 1968. Bought a new Remington 243 in 1976. In 1980 bought a mail order Mosin for $19.99. It was no good but in 1983 a Model 96 Swede rifle appeared in my catalogue for $49.99. Then there was a deal on a Mosin sniper rifle for $49.99. Sent in the money and it turned out to be a misprint so they sent me a nice 1938 Finn refurb.

And so on. People gave me more, my father died and I got more, people gave me more, I bought a couple shotguns, etc. etc.

My first gun ever was a 22lr M16 made by Kassnar.

Then those followed:

-Polish M-44, unissued
-Swedish Mauser 6.55mm
-Remington 870 with original folding stock
-Inland M1 Carbine from the Korean War
-Russian SKS (laminated) bought in 1985 (rare)
-Yugoslavian M72B (long barrel AK-47 with bipod)
-Maverick black shotgun.....

Then.... just before 1995 came, I sold everything except for the Maverick that I sold in 2003....

Now, I'm starting again :)

-DA Grizzly 12.5.....going ''full FAB Defence''

My rifle collection started off with a Ruger 10/22. Then an SKS shortly after that. I remember that SKS well because I drove all the way out of town for it, Bought it, and the RCMP couldn't register it. Had to go all the way back the next day to get it.
