How do I adjust my Iron Sights?

Hi,

My marlin 925 keeps shooting towards the left. How do I adjust the rear sight if it is only adjustable for elevation? It sits in a dovetail groove. I hear that you use a hammer and punch?

Use a small hammer and a brass punch to dift the rear sight (to the right if you want the point of impact to move right).

Go in baby steps and use a light touch. Too much back and forth can eventually cause the sight to be loose in the dovetail. Also check that there isn't a lock screw of any sort to loosen before you start.

You can tap over the rear or the front sight with a wooden or brass dowel. Do not use steel as it will mar the finish.
