Hey all, thanks ahead of time for bearing with me on this. I have absolutely no experience customizing firearms.

I would like to buy this stock for my lady.

she likes the pretty colour and it is adjustable into a suitable LOP for her.

This is going to be her rifle.

so...on the Boyds site https://www.boydsgunstocks.com/product-configurator

under the drop down menu for model the only two options that make sense is 70 or possibly 70 coyote?
In the action drop down magazine I know ill need a short action as it's a .308 but the winchester website says hinged floor plate. which doesn't align with the given options: one piece floor plate, two piece floor plate or blind magazine.

Where do I even start with this?

Thanks for any insight at all boys.

One piece floor plates and two piece floorplates are both hinged; and blind is no floor plate at all, just a trigger guard. All take different inletting. The one piece has two action screws and the older two piece has three. Never did like those. New production rifles all have the one piece as far as I know, since about 2003.

The Coyote is a moderately heavy barrel, which would affect barrel channel if you had one.

Some stocks just feel better when the shooter holds it across their body. Generally, the length of pull between the trigger and the thumb "place" on a stock will be shorter for a smaller hand, and vice versa. The comb on a stock for a big man will be thinner, to accommodate a fleshier face. Not even going to get into shotgun cast-on and cast-off. The butt length is a variable that gets a lot of conversation. A stock that is too long means the shooter can't get their eye into position without the arms gangling out in front. As well, how much clothing will be worn during shooting or hunting make a big difference.
