How do I remove the stock? Where’s the bolt?

I saw the video. I will try to go it with a drill and see if wood comes out. PIA. All part of the fun.

So I managed to strip the old finish off. Very carefully I add. Now comes the fun part. How in the world do I match this? I either go with the one sides two-face stock. Or I darken it to death to close the gap. I could try the Japanese fire stain technique at the grip and back of the forend for a transition. Hmmmm.
