How do i take pistol ammo apart?

A better measure is called for. You don't want to make a 5 gr error in the wrong direction. been there. done that.

For about $10 you can by a Wolf recoil spring. The factory spring is 17 pounds. Wolf sells them as light as 9 pounds. A light spring would probably run your light loads.

I ordered A 12lb for my XDM (the smallest they had in stock) And A 10lb spring for my glock 22. That was cheap! thanks!
 
I guess I'm lucky, I load five or six rounds and walk out the backdoor and see if they cycle right and then start loading larger numbers of rounds. .....but then again I live in the middle of nowhere.
