How do people like their 686 "Canadian" models?

I haven't read all the responses here. I had a 6" and 4.2" 686, and i've kept the 4.2" and sold off the 6" a while ago.
I normally shoot max 25 meters, so extra barrel length didn't come in to play. I will say at 50M it makes a difference.
The main reason I kept the 4.2 over the 6", is that the 4.2" is easier to draw from a holster. Balance wise, they both had their benefits - 6" weighed more with less felt recoil (only a little bit) but the 4.2" is better balanced (to me).

686 is amazing. One of my best purchases. Being able to shoot 38 and 357 really helps to save money when not restricted to 357 only. It's weight is perfect. I have the 7 shooter version. Great shooter for rookies. It's the 6 inch version ...you cannot go wrong with a 686 purchase. Am willing to part with all my firearms except for 686 and czh2003

I have looked at other revolvers but S&w 686 Looks, feels and shoots like the the best of them. One you could pass down. Don't get a cheap revolver. Buy S&w

Not in my budget right now but I'd like to get a matching 6 inch or the 4.2 model also.
