Wish we could buy our surplus at home??????? rather than dumping it on some poor island

However on average their prices on the Island board on the outrageous but their options of available ammo are tremendous. But they also get this sweet cheap Norinco AK https://www.guncity.com/223-norinco-nhm-90-5-shot-crazy-deal-244268

*also if you get a change to surf the site check out the police application for they have to fill out when they buy guns or ammo....ick

That could be NZDF surplus from all the years of mutual aid and Commonwealth military cooperation. Those boxes are easily 60 yrs old.

Canadian .303 was packed in boxes of 48, not 32 plus the boxes pictured feature the British Broad Arrow, not the Canadian Broad Arrow. False advertising!

No guesses as to why some was packed 32 rds /box. For the 48 rd box, the Lewis gun small drum mags held 47rds (+1 for the chamber?) maybe. It may just be that was how they were boxed to fit the crate. I know our Cdn 9mm ammo was packed 64rds per box because of the sten gun mag capacity being 32 rounds so 1 box per 2 mags. Of late our Mil 9mm is packed 50 rds per box.

Possible to have this ones sell for civilian ?

Considering the Rangers will no longer be needing .303 in a few years, maybe IVI/GD will be willing to sell the tooling to load as well as make the brass and bullets and to another company. Through a proper flat based 174gr MK7 Bulllet in there instead of the MK8 boat tail and it would sell well in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, as well as the US.
