Well... thanks to your help in the other thread, I will probably go with Trijicon Accupoint 1-4x24 as an optic for my rifle (Tavor), so now I need a scope good mount!

What should I look for in a good scope mount?
How do you choose a scope mount?

If you wish to suggest one please explain why - educate me people! :)
I spend a lot $$$ on the Tavor, and will spend a lot of $$$ on the Accupoint, so I want to make sure I am picking a good quality scope mount as well!

Thanks.

Find the options and combinations that will work for you application, then decide to the
flavor of your buds and kerch$ng.
Availability would be worthy of consideration as well.

Any good bran names that I should stay away or favor?
I need to star somewhere.... help please!

TALLEY light weight mounts are popular around here. The bottom half of the ring is integral with the base. The top half secures the scope to the base. The most solid scope mount I have ever seen. Google it and you will see.

If you want qd then Adm is the answer. If you're looking for standard rings I would go with nightforce, tps, badger ordnance, or leupold tacticals.

Do not go cheap. There are lots of good mounts out there but for pete's sake don't just buy mounts that look good and cost next to nothing. Talley, Leo's are excellent in my opinion.

PEPR mounts are an excellent product for the money. Side by side to the ADM mount I will never go back to the Burris. The ADM is a lighter unit. In saying that I never had a single issue with my many PEPR mounts quality wise or returning to zero.

From my Limited Actual Experience, BOBRO is the mount that will 100% return to Zero, and I am comparing it to Larue(99.9%) but hard on our rail, ADM (90%). Its hard to noticed it within 100yards until you go down to 200 yrds. Unfortunately its almost impossible to get the BOBRO in Canada.

So what make a scope mount a good one!?
- weight? materials? brand?
- one piece or to piece?
Please I don't want to buy crap...

How about this one? is that any good?
